Voltage Warning: Input voltage must Exactly match the LED strip. A 12V power supply for a 12V LED strip, and a 24V power supply for a 24V LED strip. Connecting a 12V strip to a 24V Power Supply or vice versa will instantly destroy the controller and lighting.

Wattage Capacity & Safety Margin: Never run an LED power supply at 100% capacity. Total the wattage of all connected lights and add 20% to 30% extra capacity as a buffer. Running a power supply at maximum load creates excessive heat and drastically reduces its lifespan.

Environmental & IP Ratings: Choose a driver with an appropriate IP rating for your installation area. Using a basic indoor-rated power supply (e.g., IP20) in damp bathrooms, outdoors, or coastal environments leads to rapid corrosion and failure. Non-waterproof units with exposed metal housings require clear airflow (free air convection) and should not be buried in unventilated wall spaces or covered with thermal insulation.

Dimming Limitations: Standard power supplies cannot be dimmed. If you are installing dimmers, you must ensure the power supply is specifically a dimmable driver (e.g., TRIAC or 0-10V). Mixing incompatible dimmers and non-dimmable drivers can cause buzzing, flickering, and damage.

Wiring and Safety: Safety First: Always disconnect the 220V/230V AC mains supply before making or adjusting any connections. Ensure that the live, neutral, and earth cables are connected to the correct terminals, especially on exposed terminal block units.
